2 jars broke in two weeks. Be cautious of what you store in them and how hard you set them down. Will be looking for higher quality glass
Annabanana –
Great when they work, but make sure the clamp isn’t on a corner because I had two crack when I was closing them.

I bought this item because the description suggested that it is manufactured in the USA. It is not. It is made in China.

I make shaving soap, and pour directly into the jars. I ordered two sets, 24 jars delivered super fast and all in tact. Deffinetly a 5 star item. Some reviewers complained about a funny smell, I did not experience this.

As always Anchor Hocking has made me a happy customer 🙂 Since I started to transition to all glass and stainless steel, this brand has been one of my favorite ones. Thank you for another great product.

Maggie Waite –
Nothing bad to say about these jars, they are exactly what you are expecting. They snug together nicely on the shelf and let me see what I have stored inside. No more digging through plastic bags for my herbs.
Henson Frost –
The metal rusted immediately!!
Dba Living Artists –
I am thrilled with these jars. I have filled four matching jars with different pasta. It makes it easy to see what pasta I have and they look pretty on my shelf.

I use these for all of my flours and ingredients, have them in a bunch of sizes. The seals work great

The description says these are dishwasher safe. They are not. They have a sticker on the bottom that clearly says hand wash only. And if you don’t read that (like me) and go ahead and stick them in the dishwasher anyway… all of the metal parts will rust.

Strong and sturdy storage for our school’s dry herbs.
Tiny Dancer –
Overall very good.I had to bend a couple tangs on a few of them to get them to lock down snugly but they are great now. They really stank when first opened, almost like dirty socks,,, so pull the seals off and wash EVERYTHING thoroughly.

I LOVE these jars! I keep much of my produce and greens in these sealed glass jars in the fridge and food lasts easily twice as long as it normally would. These jars are large, sturdy, have a great seal, and are perfect for food with more volume, such as romaine lettuce or kale. Absolutely great product!

These are being used to hold powders for my supplements and protein shakes. The seem to be of good quality. They were at a better price than what was available in stores at my local Walmart. They work perfect for me!
Nakina Ace –
These are quite simply junk. A trip through the dishwasher one time before use and the metal is corroded it not only looks awful but likely will break with very little use. I don’t know where the glass was made but the wire used to make the fasteners is of very, very poor quality. Rubbish, absolute rubbisn

Well, I ordered these because I wanted Anchor Hocking jars made in the USA. Well, I opened the box and it says made in china and the bottom of the jars said made in china. I tried to contact Anchor Hocking in the linked customer support email and it will not go through. I want an exchange of jars made in USA!

Seals well. Nice size. Sturdy. I was very happy with these and even purchased more.
Yash21 –
The metal material was ruptured. The quality was cheap looking. I bought 7 cases of this to give as a favor, but had to return all.

Great item, quality and price! Thanks so much!
Jeff M –
Jars look nice and work well but are small. Says 38 oz as does the label on the bottom, but only about 12oz of coffee (ground or whole bean) will fit in the jar. I do like that they are square, easy to put labels on, and take up less room than round ones. Somewhat disappointed, but may keep anyway.Size is 4″ x 4″ and 5″ tall + lid for a total height of 6″
Sveta –
Nice and large!

These are great little jars for gifting. I like to fill them with jam or candied pecans or some other delectable morsel from my kitchen. The rings are the traditional orange color and the closing mechanism works great. People really seem to like the jars as much as what is in them. Keep in mind that they are pretty small. I kinda wish I had ordered the next size up. I guess it just depends on what you are putting in them.

These jars are great for keeping dry goods fresh and bug free. I use them to store rice, beans, grits and chia seeds. This looks a lot nicer in the cabinet, than seeing a lot of bags.

Love these jars. Have them in all sizes, use for storage of all dried goods such as beans, lentils, dried fruit, pasta, etc. Getting away from all plastic containers. Like that they are squared off in shape as they fit on the shelf better than round jars. I also use them for flours although the small openings are inconvenient. Took a tip from “Good Eats” guru Alton Brown years ago and put my measuring cup on a paper plate, spoon flour into the cup, level off, and fold the plate to slide the overflow back into the jar. Presto. No mess, no waste. BTW… this is the only time I use paper plates. Overuse of disposable products is a terrible waste of our natural resources.

one jar of the set was broken
MIGA24 –
Perfect for holiday gifts. Doesn’t look cheap.
PlantsandPerfume –
They’re alright. The seal is great, but the quality overall is mediocre (the metal hinges could be better, but the glass is thick, good quality), and at this price, I expected much better. I would have given these jars 4 stars, but demoted to 3 stars because the rubber seals have an awful smell. The smell is gone after one good soaking and washing, but not something I want to encounter. I purchased these 9.4 ounce hermetically sealing, airtight jars to use for my many aromatic tinctures. I was using canning jars, but because of corrosion on the lids, due to frequent agitation, decided to go with a glass lidded jar. There was also an issue with the canning jars being airtight, I’m not having any leakage with these, so I’m happy about that. I just wish the overall quality was better.UPDATE: I purchased another dozen of these 9.4 ounce anchor hocking jars and surprisingly the rubber seals did not have the same odor as the first batch, so maybe the company fixed the issue. The quality is still mediocre. In between buying these I purchased some hermetically sealing Fido jars from Italy. They were higher quality, and very nice, but much more expensive and smaller than I needed. So I came back for these due to cost and size.

I use this to store my kratom (herbal supplement) capsules. It seals nicely and is great quality!
Melanie L. Siemon –
The entire bottom of the bottle broke when I put hot liquid in it.
Suzann –
I make my own bath salts to give as gifts and have a hard time finding good packaging that is not to expensive. These fit the bill perfectly. The size is just right and the cost is better than anything I have found locally (for glass).

All 4 were in little glass pieces broken.
MG88 –
These jars are great for the price, and I don’t think you’ll find a better deal anywhere. They were also packaged efficiently and appeared to be very secure, but when I opened them most had cracks or chips in the seal portion of the lid. This doesn’t really negatively effect them, at least from my experience so far, and you can’t tell they are chipped from the exterior when the lid is closed. These are great for holding sugar or flower and look a lot nicer than keeping them in their original boxes.
Andrea Pastorello –
These mini jars are perfect for storing and/or gifting homemade body butter, hand cream, etc, using essential oils!! Two thumbs up!
M.P. –
Exactly what I was looking for to store dry foods.
F. Giles –
Heavy, well made, seal is excellent. Good size, not huge. Storing my loose tea in it. Gave 4 jars as gifts to 2 friends who plan to store rice and dried beans in them.
Rosalia Warren –
The product itself is nice. But no padding provided in box. One jar in package arrived broken and small shards of glass were everywhere. More care needs to be taken in shipping this glass product.
Jan Sturgis –
The jars are perfectly sized and everything looks great…. until you wash them. They have to be hand washed or the metal will rust!
Eric –
These little guys are perfect for cellaring my pipe tobacco! This allows me to keep my varied tobaccos like new for months.

Such a cute jar to put cute things in! Great quality and so darn fun! Love this for all kinds of projects!
Darlene –
I have bought a dozen of these. Now, I’m buying more. I’ve had many of them for at least three years and used them frequently. I have always hand washed and none of them have broken, none of them have rusted, the seal fits tightly. They are a little hard to unlatch, so the grand kids can’t get into them without help. They used to sell them at Walmart. The ones I bought at Walmart are identical to these. Someone mentioned they aren’t Anchor Hocking because the bottom isn’t stamped Anchor Hocking. None of mine are, not even the ones I have in a larger size,, so I don’t think that is a true sign that they are knockoffs. They are the perfect size for dried fruit, lentils, popcorn, nuts, cornmeal, quinoa, couscous . . .

Totally organized my counter top with these. Put my coffee in one and the spoon fits thru hinge on back so not misplaced.

I love these jars. They are really good quality and easy to clean. I do remove the rubber gasket before I wash them. I do wash them by hand. They seal really well. The glass is not then so I think that they will stand up to a lot of use. And they look really good on my shelf.

Nice jars, but I am very unhappy that they are made in China. I always try to buy American and Anchor Hocking SHOULD BE!! There is a factory one hour from our home. They are nice jars. It says “Made in China” on the label on the bottom of each one.

Cheap glass–breaks easily in same spot in not only this size, but the 67.5 oz and 106 oz jars as well. Definitely not worth the money!

Worked fine. Air tight, water tight. Used for freeze dried samples.
B. Allen –
The latch is a bit cheap and flimsy feeling but I have not had any issues with them. I am using them as spice jars right now and they work perfectly for that purpose. They remind me of being a kid too as my mother had these types of jars all over the place while I was growing up. Overall, I would buy them again and fully intend on doing so in the near future.

I seem to be the owner of dozens of 1, 2 and 3L jars like this but none to do small batches of fermented veggies like carrots, cauliflower or whatever small veggies I might want to ferment. I’ve made large batches of sauerkraut and smaller batches of salsa but not small amounts of other fermented foods. I don’t want to have more fermented food than I could ever eat so small batches made more sense to me and these jars were just what I was looking for. Very nicely made and I believe they will do what I want them to do.Side note: If you are interested in fermenting any vegetable then consider using large or small glass jars with the rubber gasket and snap closure because this works! More information on how to do this is on the Maine Organic Farmer’s Assoc. website (MOFA).

I love the size of these jars. It was unfortunate that one of them arrived broken but whatever.I would order these again.

I love these jars! They keep everything fresher. They have a tight seal but are easy to open and close. I’d purchase enough to organize my whole pantry if I could. Will definitely purchase more in the future.

One of the jars was broken so I actually only got 11 for the price of 12 but they are nice enough little jars at a reasonable price. They were bit small for my intended purposes but good for storing odds and ends of leftovers in the fridge and loose tea and spices. The wire closures on the bales are a bit touchy and the pieces try to trade places so you have to fiddle with them to be sure the right wire is in place to lever the jar closed. My old hands don’t like having to do that. The product got only three stars from me as one jar was broken and because I have a number of similar jars in many sizes and these are not nearly as heavy and well-made as some of the other brands. Which is too bad as Anchor Hocking used to known for quality.
