We frequently stay in AirBnB’s with our dog. This UV flashlight is great to detect dried urine from previous guests with dogs who have had an accident in the rental. We don’t want to be charged for a previous tenants messes, so this flashlight will go everywhere with us. It also makes bugs, like scorpions, “light up” so we can take care of it before it stings us or our dog.

Actually works well but not what I intended it for (to identify germs). Thats not a knock against the product as much as it is me. These will come in handy for Halloween though.Fun fact i learned – shine this on your drivers license to reveal hidden stuff

Just received my 2 pcs UV flashlight and was surprised by the quick delivery, packaged well and great price. The measurements are 1″ diameter × 3 1/2″ which takes 3aaa batteries. I’m not interested in looking for PET stains even though it does work. I was looking for a small UV light to take on my kayak. Perfect size to attach to a lanyard which I will use to light up my GLOW GRUBS when NIGHT fishing. ( A fisherman’s secret)For the size, it puts out really good amount of UV light. Will definitely recommend to boat or kayak fishermen and pet owners.

This light works great. Very durable and well made. The light is bright. Good size and easy to handle. Not only will I use this light for cleaning and making sure there are clean surfaces, but I also use this light for hunting Yooperlite Rocks. Great value for the price. I highly recommend and would buy again.

Very compact, but emits a bright black light! We recently moved to a ranch house and are frequently visited by scorpions. So this will come handy when hunting them at night, especially when they find their way into the house. The ease of use is a great feature as well–just load up three AAA batteries and they’re ready to go! Also, the other advertised uses of this product are excellent features.

I’m kind of old school when it comes to things like this. I grew up in the 70’s when black light fluorescent tubes emitted a ton of UV. One 24 inch inch tube could light up your whole house. It’s not that way now and I didn’t think LED’s would offer much in the way of quality UV light output but boy was I wrong! These little flashlights flood a small area with UVA light making things that were once invisible, visible. Use one of these to inspect your bathroom or kitchen and I could almost guarantee you be cleaning soon. Counterfeit prevention measures show up brightly on government issued ID’s and licenses, Postal service stamps, Paper money etc.. The LED’s do get a little warm if used for an extended amount of time but since this flashlight should be used for inspection and not to light the way, I see no problem with this .I loved these so much that I ordered 4 more to give to friends and to have a spare for myself. For the price you just can’t go wrong.

Doesn’t come with batteries, requires 3AAAs. Once I popped those in, I went scorpion hunting because I had found one in my toilet. I didn’t find a single scorpion but the amount of microscopic trash or who knows what made me basically pour a hundred bottles of bleach in my whole house because that was NOT as clean as I thought. Two for $10 was a steal – one is $20 at Home Depot.

I purchased these lights so that we could hunt for scorpions at night while camping on the beaches of the Colorado River. Sadly, we found no scorpion, but we did attract lots of moths, which in turn sent dozens of bats swooping over our cots, delighting us for many a happy evening. Turns out the Grand Canyon has about 20 different species of bats that populate the area. It was such fun, and the moth wings looked like a 60s music poster.

Fun and functional. A little thicker in diameter and shorter than I expected. Did not notice them get warm even after prolonged use. Try not to look at the lights too long or your color vision will get weird once it is off.
CatCreekJim –
Oh my goodness these are bright. Immediately saw places where princess promised she cleaned up after fluffy puked. It was a nasty awakening that turned into mutual cleaning efforts all through the house. However the real reason these were purchased was to be able to tell real iridium glass from fake. Our two prized pieces lit up the room in radiation green, so brightly that we had to squint. We are definitely taking them with us when we go searching for sea glass along the darkened beaches of the pacific and carribean.

gave both away to my sons who always seem to have more fun than I do. Before I gave them away I did use the UV flashlights to find out where the dog peed on the bedroom rug. It was much easier to scrub one spot rather than the entire rug. over all the flashlights were really cool and I am considering purchasing another pair for myself.

I purchased these flash lights to use with my Funko pops for the glow in the dark testing. Good quality flashlights. These take 3 triple AAA batteries to make them work. Can be a bit tricky putting them into the flash lights.

I bought specifically to look for scorpions in the house. Thankfully, they’ve moved elsewhere. I did however find a few spots of cat pee I wasn’t aware of! After reading the reviews I was terrified to find out how dirty the house “really” is, but I guess I’m a better cleaner than I thought HAHA

Maybe user error, but we could not discover cat pee in the carpet with it, however we’re going to try again under darker conditions. The UV flashlights seem to work well and we appreciate the extensive user information that comes with them.

We recently took our son “blacklight gem mining” where the sluice is in a dark room with blacklights. We had a blast and found some really great stones that “glow”. I bought these on the way home to be able to look at them after our trip, and cannot believe how well they work! As a child of the 80’s I had one of the bigger tube blacklights and these work just as well for a fraction of the cost, and are portable to boot.

I had a lot of chemo and bone marrow transplant and take immune supressant drugs. Therefore, hotel rooms need to be very clean for me. I bought this 2 pk. one for me and one for a friend who’s just now going through the same treatment. This will show you bodily fluids and such in a dark hotel room/bath. Be careful you may not like what you see. Mostly I just need to be sure the sheets have been cleaned. FYI, my son takes my granddaughters scorpion hunting at night when we’re in AZ the scorpions glow when you shine these UV lights on them:)

They work very well. They are well constructed and very bright. I have no intention of using it to see stain, but my invisible ink is spectacular in the light.

These little lights are durable and work very well, however the first set I received did have a defective light in it. One of the flashlights got INSANELY hot and stopped working within 2 minutes of being turned on. That being said, they were easy to return and the replacements have worked great. I actually ordered them for my kids to have a Halloween candy hunt in the yard, using the lights to highlight the hidden eggs in the dark. I now use them to check for cat pee spots and to help me get the bathroom 100% clean. They’ve worked great for both purposes!

Be prepared to be grossed out.I have boys and a puppy. There is always pee. When potty training my sons, I had a “corner pee-er.” I could smell the pee but not see the pee. I bought a set of these and OH MY GOD. I had to call out a company to get all the pee out.I had to buy another set of these, since the kids broke them. Recently, I started turning off the bathroom lights, bringing a kid into the bathroom, and giving them cleaning supplies. They think it’s fun/gross, and I don’t have to scrub a nasty bathroom. This is also great to use to figure out if you got the entire pee stain cleaned up for potty training puppies.

OK little flashlights for finding pet urine on floors & rugs. Inexpensive and arrived quickly. Good to keep around the house when you have dogs, cats or little boys. Urine spots show right up around the toilet too.
Michael –
Can be used to check cleanliness of table top, utensils and toilet seats in restaurants and motels. Checks beds in motels too. Not for kids. Shining in eyes is damaging. Phosphorus in many insect shells glow from UV light.

I bought these to demonstrate luminescent phenomena, especially in rocks and minerals to my 3 year old grandson. They worked perfectly for the purpose. They were also good for activating various black light curiosities around Haloween time.

These little flashlights are perfect for identifying uranium glass when thrifting or antiquing. You can often identify uranium glass without a black light but why guess when you can know for sure, and with such a compact flashlight there’s no reason to have to guess! One for the purse/glove box, one for home. Perfect! 🙂

Unfortunately, we purchased this for our rental property. We believed a tenant had a dog that had MANY messes on the carpets that weren’t cleaned properly. We could smell the nastiness throughout the house but because the odor was so strong it was hard to pinpoint where the accidents were. Luckily, they were mostly contained to the master bedroom (gross) and the hallway outside that room and we were able to save most of the carpet in other areas of the house. Now the kids use the lights as entertainment to find other gross and disgusting things everywhere we go. Fun times. Lol.

This is an excellent way to watch for scorpions late at night, I’m in Florida, and those pesky insects can be a problem, this flashlight is perfect as the scorpions glow brightly green

These come in a two pack so there is value in that. The lights are sufficiently bright and they work great. I had heard rumors about the “quiet room” at work and decided to use one of these lights to check it out. I will never go into that room again. So, they work.
UnaBella –
These work really well! I bought one as a gift to use with some glow in the dark play putty, but the other I kept and found that it works really well to check for pet accidents! We had one of the long lights designed for that purpose, but this was half the price and it has a slightly wider beam that really makes it easy to check around for accidents after visiting Pugs leave the house!!

I bought these lights to find a leak in my car A/C system. At first I couldn’t get them to work because the power button is not obvious (to me) and the instructions are sparse. I assumed it turned on like a MagLight. Eventually I discovered the power button at the end of the light and . . . problem solved. As for its intended purpose, it worked perfectly. The fluorescent dye in the A/C coolant glowed a bright green. The lights are aluminum and have a nice, solid feel to them. And they arrived in one day.

These little flashlights fit easily in your pocket or whatever. I like to do black light photography and keep one on me when I go out in case I want to see if something will make a great prop or not. The flashlight is brighter than my bulbs. I kinda would rather just use these flash lights for my photography if I could plug them in instead of constantly buying batteries for them. You can even see the lint trapped in your carpet holding the flashlight at eye level when pointed at the floor.
Draquul –
I like these little black light flashlights…they do exactly what they’re supposed to do..(once you figure out how to install the batteries)…for me, installing the batteries was a little tricky…I couldn’t really figure it out at first, but then I started to experiment a bit..once I had them in correctly, the flashlights worked like a charm. Others may find it simple as pie..but for me it was confusing. *smile*

We’re very particular about our Halloween supplies that reflect blacklight or will glow in the dark. This blacklight flashlight is exactly what we needed to tell the real thing from the fake. Also, you can use it to see how well you’ve cleaned the bathroom and those sheet at the cheap hotel you’re staying at.

My husband bought the lights so that we could see if they were any scorpions in the house or on the outside it worked perfect it’s small and easy to put away easy to even just carry in your pocket. The product came on time it was exactly with the seller said it was we’re very happy with the product. Thank you very much

Wow, these are SUPER bright. A little annoying that they take 3 AAA instead of 1 AA, but worth it. The previous one I bought had 3 modes, but only a single LED in the square “maze” configuration. These are MUCH brighter.

Bought these while creating an escape room for my team to reveal hidden messages written in UV ink. These little things pack a lot of power!! Very very bright. Don’t stare at the light too long. Batteries are not included. Requires AAAs. Would purchase the same ones if we need to duplicate this project

I bought these Black light flash lights for my grandsons who live in AZ. They use them at the Desert Museum to go scorpion hunting. Sounds weird I know but when you shine a blacklight on a scorpion they glow. I used one while I was visiting with them and it was pretty cool. I don’t particularly like scorpions though so it kind of freaked me out. LOL. I’m sure these would be great for other uses too. These little lights seem pretty well made and since my grandsons are pretty young they were sturdy enough for them so if they were dropped they would hold up. The price was right too. They were selling almost identical lights at the museum and charging twice as much. I would recommend them.

I bought this to do a black light test on my old apartment carpet. I saw stains that I could not see with the naked eye. The landlord told me that the carpet was cleaned prior to moving in and there is no way because patches were missing the person obviously had a dog or something it was the disgusting and anytime the air was off I noticed a funky smell so this black light showed me where all the stains were at in the house.

Attempted to toilet train our cat (wishful thinking, I know); had some issues along the way where she started to pee by the front door and we needed a way to find it because the light doesn’t hit that area the best. Purchased this and had no issues finding it whatsoever. My sister loved it so much, especially for the size, that she took my other one. Definitely would recommend.

These are decent build quality … they feel sturdy. I don’t know what the thickness (previous question) was for but these seem to be in good shape and of good quality. They work great … it’s a black light … we can find scorpions and everything on the carpet or outside with these lights. These lights are not just for kids to play with.
HAPPYMAMA –
Wow. If you ever want to do something scary on a dark night, shine these at the gross carpeting in the house you just bought. Yikes!! These work well at detecting pet and human urine. It also works great for demonstrating to a teenage son why it is best to aim true and straight and why hot, sudsy water is necessary to clean the bathroom tile every week. :>o
Jes_074 –
I like these because they can fit in my pocket! They work great and are durable. They take AAA batteries which are easy to come by and they last months without needing to be changed! I’ve used them on several crystals to test to make sure they work as that was the primary reason I bought them in the first place.
Cattle Pillar –
These little flashlights work really really well. I was worried about how powerful they would be because they really are a small size, but they kick out the blacklight well and help me to find the pee spots my evil cat leaves around the house with ease. If you are living with a disagreeable/psycho/misbehaved pet like I am, or if you have old animals that can’t make it to the proper place at the right time anymore, this is an invaluable tool to keep your house clean and non stinky. Otherwise your nose confuses the scents and you can never find all the spots you need to clean and the smell will drive you mad.

I bought these for finding biological “stains” quickly, because I’ve bought them at pet stores before and those are expensive and usually not very strong. These ones are nothing of the sort! Inexpensive and a very strong beam, I found some spots where I didn’t expect to find anything. Can’t go wrong with these!
